Frequently Asked Questions
What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates is Pilates done on a reformer machine using spring tension. It is strength training and is an amazing, low-impact workout. It is known for increasing strength and mobility throughout the spine and body.
What Can I Expect When I Come to a Reformer Class?
You can expect your core, muscles, and mind to be challenged in a reformer class. Classes may have an emphasis on a certain body part that day, but you will always get a full-body workout with every major muscle group challenged.
Is Reformer Pilates good for rehabilitation?
As with all physical activities, clearance from a doctor is required before starting any new movement, but Pilates is frequently used for rehabilitation and injury prevention.
What Should I Wear to Class?
Sticky socks are required for all clients to wear. Sticky socks can be purchased in the studio if you do not have any. You should wear clothes that you can comfortably move in. Leggings are required.
How Do I Sign Up for a Class?
Request More Information or click the Book a Class button on the menu bar to be redirected to MINDbody. You can create an account, purchase a membership, and sign up for classes there.
How quickly will I see results?
This is dependent on you. Your commitment, dedication, and consistency will be the biggest factor. But with an engaged mindset, I feel confident in sharing the following quote given by Joseph Pilates: "In 10 sessions you'll feel the difference, in 20 sessions you'll see the difference, and in 30 sessions you'll have a whole new body."
